HARVEST FOOD DRIVE

Ailsa Craig & Area Food Bank & Thrift Store runs year-round and this year the need is greater than ever.  The Ilderton and District Lions along with the Ilderton Volunteer Fire Fighters will be making their annual food drive to help fill the shelves and are looking for your support.

The drive will be on Sunday November 20.

Here’s how it works.

  • We will drop off a paper bag with instructions sometime in the coming days on your doorstep or mailbox.
  • Please fill with food products and other necessities.
  • On Sunday November 20 the Ilderton Lions and Ilderton Volunteer Fire Fighters from the will come to you.
    • Denfield and Birr collection will start at 11:00 a.m.
    • The village of Ilderton collection will start at 12:00 p.m.
  • Set out your bags ahead of time and our team will hustle up and down driveways collecting the bags.

If you live outside of these pick-up areas or wish to donate prior to November 20th, you can deliver your donation to the Ilderton Fire Station where a collection bin is located.

What could be easier?

What’s in need (and what isn’t)

If you are out and about we’ve already heard that the Food Bank could really use,

  • canned salmon,
  • 1L. juices,
  • shampoo, deodorant,
  • dish soap, laundry detergent,
  • paper towels,
  • baby wipes.
  • and items like coffee, tea and spices would be a great bonus to receive.

While they appreciate any generosity, the Food Bank doesn’t really need any more pasta or tomato sauces.

Look for your bag to appear on your doorstep shortly.  Thank you again for your support.
